What To Expect

Taj Mahal

Meet your guide early at your Delhi hotel, Delhi airport, or chosen central location, and journey to Agra by private, climate-controlled vehicle. Arrive and head for the UNESCO-listed Taj Mahal, the 17th-century mausoleum built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Stroll through the gateway and gardens and admire this breathtaking building, complete with its white-marble domes and pillars shimmering in the morning light.

Agra Fort, An outstanding example of Mughal architecture and stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. It was built in the late 1560`s by their predecessor, Akbar, with later embellishments by Jahangir, his son, and Shah Jahan, his grandson.
