During the two-hours walk we will make the connection from medieval Catalan history and legends to what inspired Gaudí and other architects when designing the residential buildings along the grand boulevard of Passeig de Gracia. From street pavement to lamp posts – all have a story that we want to tell you!

Christian is an impeccable story teller and provided such great detail to each location. He really knows the history of not only the architectural pieces in the city but the history and culture. It was a treat to spend time walking around and learning about Barcelona!

Christian was excellent. He offered just the right amount of information where you felt like he was a master on the subject, but it didn’t feel like he was talking your ear off. He was friendly, professional, and answered all of my questions. He offered a lovely insight into the symbolism behind different aspects of the architecture and chose some really interesting spots. In addition, he managed the time very well as he knew we had to catch a flight, and he was able to cover everything (without it feeling rushed) while ending 10-15 minutes early. Overall, I highly recommend this tour!

We really enjoyed this walking tour on our first day in Barcelona. Michael gave us lots of info in an interesting way, and we were able to get a sense of Barcelona and the modernist architecture movement. I wish we had been able to go on another of their tours!
