Overview

Learn everything you ever wanted to know about your own camera or phone and have fun with a photojournalist and documentary photographer exploring the beautiful Barcelona. This experience is about photography, history, local life, architecture and traditions.

If you have been with a camera or mobile for a long time and you have never dared to shoot in manual mode or you feel like trying new things, this experience is ideal for you. We will see everything about the technical and narrative edges of photography. In a didactic and playful way, you will have the necessary tools to start creating more attractive images as you always wanted to do.

Why can't I create blur? How do I change the color of my photo? Why is the image grainy? How do I avoid a blurred image? But my photo has not turned out well! We will solve these and many more questions together learning elementary and advanced techniques using entertaining exercises.

Great tour!

Nico took me and 2 friends around the Gothic Quarter. We learned and got to practice several new photography tricks. It was a fun way to see the city, learn, and get some great photos! Highly recommend! The lunch recco he gave us after was a delicious spot!

The experience was great! Nico was super nice and really knowledgable about photography and really helped us with how to up our game even just using our phone cameras. He gave us a lot of tips and tricks plus we were able to try it out and come away with photos which was great. He also offered to take some photos of us so we could all be in them. We definitely used the skills he taught us later on in our trip and also shared extra material afterwards. He also took the time to help us with restaurant recommendations and places to go for a drink, etc. He seemed genuinely happy to help. So we walked away better phone photographers and with good ideas for where to eat. Thanks, Nico!

Truly enjoyable experience

I enjoyed learning from Nico. As a beginner, I was initially intimidated but he made me feel at ease. He explained concepts in simple terms that I can understand. Some key learnings for me are (1) thinking about taking pictures in terms of light, (2) taking pictures from different angles and perspective and (3) don't be intimidated by the fully manual setting of my camera.

I saw how diverse the Gothic Quarter is - we took pictures from the busy Boqueria Market, to the middle of Las Ramblas to a quiet courtyard just around the corner from Calle Brisbe. It was really a good combination of sight-seeing and photography lesson.
