Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble Islamic mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan himself.

Mehtab Bagh

Mehtab Bagh (Moonlight Garden) was built by Emperor Babur in the early 1500s and the width of the gardens perfectly aligns with those of the Taj Mahal. It was then famously known as the “moonlit pleasure garden” when Emperor Shah Jahan identified it as the ideal site from which to admire the mausoleum.
