Overview

With distinctive fast-draining soil and a unique microclimate overlooking the Mediterranean, Alella has produced exceptional wines since Roman times, served to Emperors no less! This fame continued in the Middle Ages, when Alella wines were served at the court of the Kings of Aragon.

Today, Alella is the smallest wine region in Cataluyna to gain coveted EU Denomination of Origen (D.O.) status...but for some reason it isn’t well known abroad. Our mission is to change that – don't miss out on this secret!

We will visit 2 carefully-selected vineyards (the region's best and most popular, where depending on the day we might might tour with other guests, and a beautiful family-run bodega we work with exclusively), and devour a home-style, traditional Catalan lunch. By the end of the tour, you'll have learnt much about the region, its unique geological properties, and our special pansa blanca grape, accompanied by a charismatic, informed, private guide.

Amazing evening with Lorea! Loved the restaurants and her company. Food and wine were outstanding as well. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and we felt very well taken care of-it was such a pleasure not to worry about anything as related to food and wine choices! The wine and food never stopped

We can’t rave enough about Lorea and our tour. Having adventurous tastes and willing to try unusual dishes, we set off in our tour to 3 different establishments. One of them opened exclusively for us , the second one opened early and the third was like being in someone’s home. Small, intimate and lively, all establishments were superb! And the wine flowed non stop! Lorea was such a delight, spoke excellent English ( because we knew very little Spanish) and she described each dish beautifully. Not only that, but conversation around many topics never ceased. Go in with an open mind and very empty stomach!! Our entire tour lasted at least 4.5 hrs! I’d go back again tomorrow.
