Overview

Your two day tour starts in New Delhi visiting Pushkar and Ajmer. Separated from Ajmer by the Snake Mountains, the town of Pushkar lies in a narrow valley overshadowed by rocky hills. One of India’s most sacred lakes lies in the heart of Pushkar. This city important to those of Hindu faith and also known for its annual camel fair. Situated in a basin at the foot of Taragarh Hill and on the banks of Ana Sagar Lake, Ajmer is surrounded by a stone wall with five gateways. This town is renowned throughout the Muslim world as the burial place of Mu’nuddin Chisti, a descendant of the son-in-law of Mohammad.
